BURTON PROCESS FLYING V 157W 2017 Board Snowboard
Mark McMorris' board of choice
Take your freestyle further with the board Mark McMorris chooses for lightweight performance and action-packed pop. Re-evolved to shed ounces and amplify pop, Mark McMorris picks the Burton Process for its twin freestyle playfulness and all-terrain prowess. The FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ core creates a lighter, lift-off-ready deck, while Squeezebox core profiling transfers energy towards the tip and tail for snappier ollies and effortless stability. Available in two versions, choose the relaxed and floaty Flying V™ or precise control of camber, both updated to feature a more blunted out tip and tail shape.
Softer than the Custom, the Process is suited to the freestyle rider, but still capable of all-mountain action as evidenced by the pros who push it.
The perfectly symmetrical Twin shape offers a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it. The exaggerated tip and tail scooping turns up the edges for a looser, more forgiving feel that adds catch-free fun when riding everything from a knee-high box to neck-deep pow. Long before the hype about waved edges, Burton introduced frostbite edges. They extend slightly beneath your bindings for an extreme good edge-hold on hard-pack. Full of power when you need it and playful when you don't. Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining smooth, flowing, and forgiving. Pro-Tip™ is a tapered tip and tail thickness, which reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
The Camber shape is an advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design. Offering a snappy suspension, camber distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail.
The Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for versatility whether riding naturally or switch.
The FSC™ CERTIFIED SUPER FLY II™ 700G CORE features stronger and lighter woods targeting specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight. Additionally, at the DUALZONE™ EGD™ design, the wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength. Squeezebox is a patent-pending technology which improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable, and easier to manipulate. The TRIAX™ FIBERGLASS offers a versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred. The Sintered Base is durable and highly porous, with added durability and superior wax absorption for greater overall glide.
Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable - The Channel™ gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major bindings (not just Burton’s). In fact, Burton trusts it so much that all boards with The Channel are backed by a 3-year warranty.
The Burton-exclusive INFINITE RIDE™ technology allows Burton to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
