The 2022/2023 V Max features increased efficiency, utilizing traits passed down from our race sails. The enhanced shaping profile draws more energy from the mast, which results in exponentially increased power delivery. The new vertical shaping techniques allow us to create a more harmonious sail profile which results in a more even skin tension between all areas of the sail, providing a more balanced and effective rig.

3 ) Kevlar Stretch Control Tendons:
The Kevlar Stretch Control Tendons distribute the load throughout the surface of the sail from clew to luff. They control the breaking point for the twist, increase the wind range, and increase the longevity of the sail. An original Simmer Style feature that has been widely adopted by many other sail brands.
4 )Cutaway:
The cutaway clew has an extremely positive influence on the sail’s agility and handling, and allows for a shorter, more rigid boom, as well as more direct acceleration.
5 MIL X-PLY:
The most durable laminate scrim on the market. 100% polyester film, 150 microns thick, with high stretch resilience thread reinforcement in an X-pattern. The layers of film are bonded together with a UV resistance glue. The Icon features X-Ply paneling in the foot panel and clew area to handle wave sailing abuse in harsh conditions.
