In addition to the normal binding version, it's also available for the Burton Step On™ binding, the simple, intuitive binding that makes you faster than anyone else on the mountain.

Outer Boot
Get an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box with Total Comfort Construction. The Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology reduces the boot’s overall footprint in one full size. All Burton boot tongues feature a snow-proof internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping feet warm and dry. The Step On™ Backstay is optimized for Burton's Step On™ system and is snugging up the fit between boot and highback. The firm flexing 1:1 PowerUP Tongue provides an increased response with great rebound and durability. EST® goes beyond bindings by optimizing the soles on select boots for a more direct connection. Lower-profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle, the Step On™ EST® Outsole lowers your centre of gravity and improves feel.

Inner Boot
The Life Liner fuses lightweight materials with a more relaxed feel for high-end performance that makes all the difference during long seasons filled with hard-charging days. The responsive PU tongue construction provides a combo of cat-like quickness and long-term resistance to breakdown, while also accommodating a better fit for all foot shapes. The Life Liner featured on the Ion boot adds a level 2 footbed and extra DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ material for added warmth.
The new state-of-the-art carbon fibre heat-activated DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ Lining is your best friend for improved warmth through reflective body heat retention and maximum breathability. Ankle support and inner cuff stability are mandatory in a pro-level boot. Burton’s solution is the Tuff Cuff, which increases heel hold and wraps the ankle with medial and lateral support while still flexing freely from toe to heel.

Lacing System
Strong and low-profile, Speed Zone™ Lacing features lightning-fast lacing control while allowing you to customize the fit of the upper and lower zone in seconds. More power means more rebound, wrap and response with less lacing effort. An additional BOA® System adds even more response and stability to the boot. New England Rope laces add a virtually indestructible character worthy of Burton's Lifetime Warranty.
