Jake Burton Carpenter founded Burton Snowboards in 1977 in Londonderry, Vermont, USA. What starts as a simple hobby in his garage soon turns into a real passion for a sport that he himself will help grow all over the world. Jake and his Burton, over the years, create revolutionary products, support the best riders in the world and push more and more ski complexes to open their slopes to snowboarders.

Burton’s philosophy is based on his love of snowboarding. For some it means winning, for others having fun with friends, living in nature or expressing creatively. Learn, improve and teach: whatever it is, it is a pure feeling that only snowboarding can give and that only snowboarders can understand.
