A few years ago, Channel Island created Average Joe to be a fun, simple and easy-to-use surfboard and became one of the brand’s best-selling models. For 2019, after listening to customer feedback and team tests, Britt Merrick has created a more elegant and refined version of the game ... The Ultra Joe.

Ultra Joe has tuned edges, a squash tail, a tighter nose with an improved rocker. The result is a surfboard for beginner/ intermediate surfers, while at the same time it is an attractive model for experienced surfers looking for something fun for younger days.

Despite all these changes, one thing remains the same: the fun factor.

Construction EPS Epoxy Spine-Tek:

The Spine-Tek construction is the result of the collaboration with Shapers Australia. SPINE-TEK is a precision designed spine that uses a unique composition of fiberglass and resin. SPINE-TEK is based on the principles of elastic energy, to flex under pressure and then bring the surfboard back to its natural rocker, providing the boards with a more lively and responsive feeling.

Performance through innovation, SPINE-TEK® is the first in the world with its unique fiber-based composition, offering optimal performance based on bending through the principles of elastic and kinetic energy. Through this process the surfboard is charged with energy and then released, generating additional units, speed, power and flow.

With a weight of just a quarter of a kilo and installed on the deck of the surfboard, SPINE-TEK replaces the traditional wooden sleepers heavier and is practically free of breakage.
