Surfskate SMOOTHSTAR 34" Filipe Toledo 77
The surfskate Smoothstar 34" Filipe Toledo #77 is the newest Smoothstar model for the Teamrider Filipe Toledo. The Toledo 34 has a deeper concave at the top and wider wheels at the back. Both of these features allow surfers to push further into their curves and to hold the rail without slipping out. The end result is that riders can practice much more powerful maneuvers, while maintaining ease in critical turns.
Filipe was 16 when he first rode Smoothstar. We developed a very popular model for him when he was 17 years old called Holy Toledo. Since then, Filipe has developed physically and is stronger and more powerful in his surfing. To meet this power, we added more concave in the deck and made the rear wheels slightly larger for greater grip in the corners. Riders of the new Toledo #77 can now push even harder into their rail turns and run deep bottom turns. The board is suitable for surfers around 5 8 - 6 . Beginners can still drive it, but it will provide them with more thrust, just like a bigger surfboard that they could surf.
Filipe’s "77" wheels were added to the new Toledo #77. The rear is wider than 2 mm to hold the curves but loosens the front of the table. Filipe liked the idea of a simplistic black design. We work together on a mix of matt black and glossy black.
Model 34 Toledo 77 is suitable for teenagers or adults of about 168cm - 186cm high. It will hold the turns without slipping out for surfers who are under 85kg. It has the deepest concave in the deck that gives the surfer a greater ability to hold the rail during the carving. It shares the same concave as models 32.5 and 35.5 .
