Storia e sostenibilità di The North Face

Sebbene il nome faccia intendere paesaggi innevati, il brand ha le sue fondamenta nella North Beach di San Francisco nel 1966. Qui, due appassionati di escursionismo trasformarono la passione per la scalata in un negozio di attrezzature per la montagna. Successivamente, The North Face prende forma e amplia il suo catalogo, offrendo anche la possibilità di esplorare con spedizioni in tutto il pianeta.

La mission del marchio è prima di tutto la sostenibilità dei propri capi d’abbigliamento: l’obiettivo è portare, col tempo, lo stesso prodotto a qualità superiore con sempre meno impatto ambientale. Ciò parte dall’utilizzo di materiali riciclati o provenienti da fonti non impattanti. Un passaggio successivo è anche il riciclo di capi usati per crearne di nuovi, impedendo che entrino nel flusso di rifiuti da smaltire.
